I am planning to visit Toronto in Canada and I wanted to know where is a 'central' location, near the main shops and tourist locations etc. I didn't want to get a hotel in the middle of nowhere and end up spending most of my time commuting to all the tourist areas.Where is a central area in Toronto to stay?
It's so funny, I asked that same question in the London forums!
The absolute centre of Toronto is at Yonge Street %26amp; Bloor Street. Once you're in that area, Toronto is very walkable or you can just hop on the subway to get anywhere a little further.
Hotels in this area:
Toronto Marriott Bloor Yorkville
Windsor Arms Hotel
Comfort Hotel Downtown
Intercontinental Hotel
Good luck!
Why don't you visit this great Toronto tourist site? http://www.seetorontonow.com/

if you are looking for a good hotel to stay near main shops and tourist locations then you should check out the Courtyard Marriott Hotel DownTown Toronto (416) 924-0611.
enjoy your trip..
I love the Delta Chelsea! It is comfortable and in the downtown action! There are many restaurants and shops nearby!
