Is 2 and a half hours enough to get from Toronto Pearson to LAX?

I booked a flight in 3 weeks (early Aug) flying from Toronto at 8:05 and I need to be in LA by 8:30 AM pst or 11:30 AM toronto time for a business meeting.



Is this possible? The flight has be be around 2 and a half hours for me to make that.Is 2 and a half hours enough to get from Toronto Pearson to LAX?

And where in hell is your meeting in L.A. ?

Wait 45 minutes in the baggage claim area for your suitcase ?

The answers that have indicated that this is impossible are correct -- you're looking at a flight time of close to 5 hours for this city pair, meaning that a 8:05 flight wouldn't arrive in Los Angeles until about 10:00 am in Los Angeles, well after your meeting would be starting. (In fact, you really should have known the answer to this already when you bought your ticket -- the departure and arrival times, which are local to those respective cities, should have clearly been listed on the itinerary you selected.)



You really need to change your ticket and fly in the previous day for your early morning meeting. Not only is this because the time you've set for your travel is completely unrealistic with respect to making your meeting on time, any delays in the outbound flight from Toronto will only make things worse. By leaving the day before, you can absorb some of the time you'd lose in the event of unforeseen delays and ensure that you make it to your meeting on time.Is 2 and a half hours enough to get from Toronto Pearson to LAX?

I looked at flights that leave YYZ for LAX, and the flight time is listed in Kayak.com and right around 5 hours. The arrival time in LAX if you leave at 8:05 am will be between 10 and 10:30 am.



As far as I can tell, there are no flights from YYZ that will allow you to arrive in LA any earlier than about 10 am. Looks like you will need to go the night before and book a hotel room.
Definitely not going to happen. What you should have done was buy a ticket and arrive the night before the meeting. You will have to call and change the ticket. When buying the ticket, the website would tell you what time you would arrive and you would have known that the flight is longer than 2.5 hours.
You should check out the departure time and arival times on your flihght information. If you dont have a sheet with your flight information you can go to either the website of your airline, or of either LAX or Toronto Pearson.

It'll be awfully close. There could delays, especially during a peak travel time in the morning. You also have to allow for time to get from the airport to your meeting location. I might consider booking an earlier flight.
It's a 5 1/2-6-hour flight from YYZ to LAX (make it 1-2 times per year).
