How much would it cost to live in an apartment in Toronto, Ontario?

I'm planning on moving out soon (after i graduate high school) and was wondering how much it would cost, per month, to live in an apartment in Toronto. I would probably be living with a room mate, so how much would it cost me to a) rent an apartment(the range), b) including the bills, c) normal neccesities, such as food, and d) my car. could someone please give me a range of how much it would cost? I have a good $10,000 already saved up.How much would it cost to live in an apartment in Toronto, Ontario?

b) Your bills will depend on how much you spend, how wasteful you are of utilities, and what the complex covers.

c) Your "normal necessities" will be food, utilities, and anything else you find necessary. This might include cable, cell phone, gym membership, massages, or whatever. You'll need to total the things that you know and ask the potential landlord how much utilities run. Your parents can give you an idea of what they spend.

d) You should know how much you spend on your car. Insurance, gas, maintenance, payments, etc. If your parents currently pay any of those and you will be taking them over, then ask them what they cost. Call your insurance company and get a quote. How much would it cost to live in an apartment in Toronto, Ontario?
As for rent, a one bedroom apartment in a building in Toronto can run you anywhere from 750 dollars (if you're really lucky) to 1400 dollars and higher. Most range around 850 or so.

Usually utilities are included in the rent.

Also factor in a cost for a parking spot (if there is even one) which can range from 35 to 50 dollars a month.

Then factor in costs of subscribing to a land line/cell phone, internet, cable tv, etc. etc.

As for food, you're going to have to figure that out on your own. Some people can survive on mac and cheese, some need to eat out every night of the week.

Good luck :)
