My friends and I are planning a trip to Toronto this summer and I was curious as to what would be a good time to head up. Are there any festivities that happen in Toronto, preferably a one that's heavy on drinking?

Early August there is a Carnival type festival. I forget what they call it, but it's lots of fun.

Gay Pride is the best drinking festival - and don't worry if you're not gay, there are plenty of straight ppl there (I'm straight and I go every year). Church St. closes off traffic and beer is served in the streets - but the clubs jack up cover charges, which sucks.



If that's not your thing, try the Beer Festival or Caribana, but seriously, Gay Pride rocks.
