Safest areas to live in the City of Toronto and Greater Toronto area?

Are Etobichoke and Riverdale safe areas to live? Are they quiet or cosmopolitan? Any other suggested safe areas in city/greater toronto? Looking for places with restaurants and good boutique shopping and nice bars but not really clubs

depends which part of etobicoke...if u want save don't move near rexdale...mississauga is safe

Safest areas to live in the City of Toronto and Greater Toronto area?
I am a former chef and have lived here for 12 years off and on, and have never had any trouble, as to the areas you mentioned like the first young lady said as long as you don't have a bad background, get involved with the wrong people and stray into the areas where things can get rough after dark, then you are fine.



Etobicoke is nice and there are areas along Lakeshore Blvd, Islington Av and Bloor St with nice boutiques, restaurants shops, bakery's, good transit is available in both areas, alot depends on what your looking for and willing to spend on rent or if you looking at buying.
Compared to US cities, all of Toronto is considered safe. As long as you don't do anything stupid.


Better to ask which areas to avoid. It's a much shorter list.
