There aren't any nonstop commercial flights currently, but you can fly Air Tahiti Nui nonstops from Los Angeles (and from NYC in summer).



The fastest scheduled flight connection is via LAX with Air Tahiti Nui at 17 hours exactly, including the connect time at LAX. It's about 5.5h to LA on American Airlines, then 8.5h to Papeete on Air Tahiti Nui, and a nice layover inbetween. The Toronto-LA flight can be with another airline, but AA1553 came up fastest for this itinerary connection.
