Best time to drive from Toronto to Montreal during the morning or day?

Will be driving to Montreal next week from Toronto.



I have friends telling me to leave at 4:00 AM from Toronto to avoid traffic. Honestly I want to sleep and be fresh for a long drive.



Would 7:00-8:00 AM be too late to beat any traffic. Any traffic after 10:00 AM?Best time to drive from Toronto to Montreal during the morning or day?
I would take off from Toronto before 6:00 AM and after 9:AM. 6-9am is the rush hours. Highways and roads are jammed up during these hours. 7 - 8 am is ok only if you know the road, by-passing Toronto from Keele+401 to Oshawa. Leave early or leave late.
