What restaurant in Toronto has good food, but is not too expensive?

My girlfriend and I are catching a show in Toronto this weekend. Where can we get some good food in the early evening without breaking the bank and where we can get away with casual attire? We want to try and avoid the franchise restaurants if possible. Thanks! What restaurant in Toronto has good food, but is not too expensive?
It depends on where the the theatre is that your seeing the show, along King St W near the Royal Alex and Princess of Wales there are a number of nice casual places, near the Canon, Sony and others there to is a few, from fast food to casual sitdown place, as former chef and having worked and lived here in T.O for over 15 year of my 30+ as a chef, I go out rarely. But I do know the city and district very well.
Hello,

You can google this is you are interested but The Rebel House on Young street is a fantastic restaurant that is very unique and has amazing food for a reasonable price. It is very casual, however not family oriented so there wont be to many little children. I would strongly recommend it seeing as it is not a franchise and fits your other requests. What restaurant in Toronto has good food, but is not too expensive?
Joe Badali's on Front St. near University is a nice place, don't know if the price is what you are looking for. There's also further from the theatre district Hot House Cafe at Church and Front. I highly recommend both.
It's a few minutes streetcar ride away, but it's on Queen St. Amuse Bistro...you can get away with casual attire; the food is relatively affordable with mains at $20-$30; but the chef is amazing.
