How long does it take to travel from Toronto to Quebec by train?

Traveling to Toronto and would not mind taking a trip to Quebec by train. If their are any. And the time and approximate amount of cashHow long does it take to travel from Toronto to Quebec by train?
It depends the train. Some are express (they stop at fewer smaller towns), and some aren't. I'd expect between 6.5 and 8 hours, though. Oh, and you need to get off in Montreal and switch "corridors", so that takes some time as well.

Anyways...like everyone else has said it take about 7 hours (i've done it) the train they used when I did it was actually pretty nice...for VIA anyways.



Since it was leaving from Toronto it was on time.



If you are going to Quebec city then you'll need to transfer to another train. That train won't be nearly as nice (i've taken the train from toronto-montreal and montreal-halifax).

You can plan your trip on Via Rails's website. It's about 7-8 hours. And you have to switch trains in Montreal.
