I like to get involved in the Persian community in Toronto. Where can I obtain info about events happening in the Iranian community in Toronto, Ontario, Canada?How can I find out what events are going on in Toronto (Canada) targeted at the Iranian population?
I live in Toronto myself and I'm Iranian. There are multiple sites where you can check for events, but one of the more comprehensive ones, which uses a nice Google Calendar is at:

Also, you can check out the websites of Iranian newspapers in Toronto and many of them have a "community events" section. For a list of these publications you can go to the site above and go to the "Websites" tab and go down to the Newspapers section.



And every once in a while you'll see Persian-related events posted on Craig's List Toronto. So you may want to check that out as well.



Another great place is the Parya Foundation. It's a non-for-profit organization which hosts a lot of events for Iranians and it's located close to Yonge and Steeles. Their website is parya.org.

They'll mostly be calling themselves Persians and you'll find a core group in and around the University. That's probably the easiest place to establish contact with the more general population.
