How often do people throw acid at your face in Toronto?

Hi when I graduate from high school in Sudbury I want to move to Toronto but I'm scared someone will throw acid at my face. I'm wondering how often people throw acid at people's faces in Toronto. Thanks. How often do people throw acid at your face in Toronto?
I personally don't think you have anything to worry about. I have never heard in news about people throwing acid on someone's face. That only happened once in the soap "Days or our Lives." Just do you research and stay at a good neighborhood. You do live in Canada...the best country on earth!
Events like that are extremely rare, and that woman in Oregon who had acid thrown on her face actually did it to herself, so I think she must have some problems unfortunately, hopefully she gets them sorted out ... so don't worry about it, it is very rare. To be honest, you should be more concerned about crimes that are much more likely to happen, such as a robbery or, unfortunately, rape. Just take common sense precautions, and don't go out late at night into unfamiliar neighborhoods without anyone else.

That said, if the phobia bothers you that much, I would suggest seeing a counselor about it, they may be able to help you sort that out. Also don't worry about those rude answers, those people don't know what it's like to have a phobia.

Hopefully this helps, good luck! How often do people throw acid at your face in Toronto?
I've never heard of it happening ever here. This is not something you have to fear. I realise Toronto is a huge city, and phobias can push a fear out of proportion, but you don't have to worry about this at all. I've lived in TO for a long time now, and have had friends here since the 1980's and there has never been an incident like this.

The problem is how are you going to deal with crowds jostling you. The best way to start, is to travel in non rush hour times. This will help you lesson the fear. You'll get used to being around a lot of strangers and start dealing with this. It's easy to laugh at something like this, but phobias are irrational and not easy to shake. Ignore people make fun of this. Like I said, deal with this in small steps and before you know it, it will not be such a huge fear. Toronto is very, very safe. Just use common sense and you'll be fine.
Toronto is also in Canada my dear, so you don't have to worry bout anything. It is a bit ridiculous for you to think that people run around throwing acid at each others face.lol.

Don't be scared, nothing like that happens here. You'll be fine!
It never happens anywhere in Canada.

Are you worried because of the recent news from the states of a women who claims to have acid thrown on here face about a month ago? Well recently it was found to be a hoax. The women actually did it to herself! See here: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/39221785/ns/鈥?/a>
Toronto's safer than sudbury....
You should better be afraid of car accidents, cancer, and other nasty, but unfortunately real things!
No more often than in other places, which is not very often at all.
Ridiculous...

Edit: I lived in big cities all my life (I am 17 btw), and I never saw anything like that.
are you sure you are graduating..??
They don't????!!!!
